Petit's Bio

Petit Pinson was born into adventure in Hollywood, CA… her father was the original Lone Ranger stuntman.  She grew up in Three Rivers, CA playing in the river and climbing rocks and mountains.  After high school in Visalia, CA, Jr. college at COS (where she was a 2-time CA state swim champion) and studying English Literature at UC Santa Barbara, she lived various places in the western US… always exploring and adventuring in the outdoors.  Her eclectic job history includes fire-fighting (rappelling from a helicopter), sports modeling, dog mushing, playing trumpet, guitar, and drums in numerous bands, outdoor education, classroom teaching, creative writing, dance choreography, yoga… and the list goes on. Aside from inspiring others through slide shows and speaking, she is currently working to empower students through academic and life skills experiences in the U.S. and abroad and scheming with a group of colleagues to get an outdoor education program up and running in Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks.

Last year, Petit was chosen to be part of a reality adventure TV show on Outdoor Life Network and ABC called “Global Extremes”.  After 5 different continents and many challenges which culminated in 2 months in Tibet climbing Mt. Everest, she returned… smiling and healthy… with an extra awareness of the world around her and what it means to “summit”.
